Reality
The absolute best definition of reality I have ever heard comes from Lily Tomlin’s character in a one woman show she had on Broadway it went, “What is reality anyway? Nothing more than a collective hunch”.
After years of looking I have yet to come up with a better definition. During my search though, I came across several concepts that I found intriguing and enlightening. Some are positively obvious but overlooked and some are not, but for the most part all are the truth. I will attempt to convey those concepts here. The purpose was originally to show the possibility that God exists and where He could be found. However, that may be a bit too lofty a goal. But what I can do is show you that you probably have less of an idea of what is real than Lily Tomlin did and therefore have no authority to try to impose your flawed version of reality on anyone else. I will make a sequence of arguments that initially will appear completely unrelated to each other, but in the end will come together to give you a bigger picture of things, I hope. Where I state things that I am not sure of, I will advise you of that. When I make a guess at something, I will tell you that also. But in the end, I believe that by making a few small assumptions I can change the way you look at things.
This is not really a book about God, it may have started out that way, but it’s more a book about reality.
